Electrical Safety Analyzer
An electrical safety analyzer is a device that has been designed to conduct a wide variety of electrical safety analyzation tests and in a sense analyzes the device under test in order to determine if it is in compliance with electrical safety requirements. The most common forms of electrical safety analyzer tests: AC Voltage withstand testing, DC voltage withstand testing, AC hipot testing, DC hipot testing, and insulation breakdown testing. Other electrical safety analyzer tests include dielectric strength testing, insulation resistance testing, protective earth ground bond testing, touch current testing and line voltage leakage testing.
Modern electrical safety analyzers offer multi-function
capability combined with convenient features to facility automated testing.
The Vitrek V4 electrical safety analyzer, for example, offers
AC withstand to 5KV AC RMS, DC withstand to 6 KV, Insulation resistance measurement
to 10,000 megohms and earth ground bond electrical safety analyzer
test capability up to 42 amps. Any combination of these electrical
safety analyzer tests can be stored in ten different test locations
with a maximum of 20 steps in any one test. Electrical safety analyzer
tests can easily be selected and run repeatedly with the touch of
a single button. Electrical safety analyzer test status is
displayed on the units large LCD readout and via the bright LED pass/fail
indicator. In the event of a failure of the electrical safety analyzer,
the a loud fail buzzer is also set off to alert the operator.
