    Unlimited Scanning Possibilities with 7KV, 10KV, 15KV, 40A, & 70A Switching Modules

    When a single 948i Hipot High Voltage Switching System is combined with a Vitrek automated Hipot tester, up to 48 test points can be scanned for high voltage isolation - multiple units work together to increase your test point count. Combine two 948i's for 96 points of switching capability or ten units for 480 point capacity. Expansion possibilities are virtually unlimited. And with voltage switching capability up to 15,000 volts or current switching as high as 70 amps - the 948i can handle just about any test requirement that comes along.

    Modular Configuration Assures that Your Requirements are Satisfied

    The 948i is easily configured to meet your specific test needs. For starters, select the voltage rating and number of HV switching channels desired.  In addition to hipot and IR - do you also need to do continuity or low resistance? How about LCR measurement or 4-wire resistance?  The MX modules can be added or customized to allow additional measurement equipment to access the matrix.

    In a typical application each test point needs to be bi-polar (high for some tests and low for others), multiply the number of test points in the DUT by two and that is how many relay channels you will need.

    A single 948i can accommodate 24 bi-polar test points with three 8 channel cards connected to the high voltage bus and with three 8 channel cards connected to the return bus. To add continuity or low resistance measurement capability to the system, an MX-2 card will allow you to use the matrix for either hipot or low  resistance testing.  For higher test point counts additional 948i's can be connected to accomplish the task.  If you have any questions about configuring one or more 948i's Vitrek applications assistance is just a phone call or a click away.

    Set-Up is a Snap

     

    The 948i is fast and easy to use so there is no excuse for using the hit-and-miss manual probing method of high voltage multi-point Hipot testing. The 948i increases operator safety by reducing exposure to high test voltages while enhancing product quality and reliability. Consistent and repeatable hipot test results are automatically documented making it simple to prove compliance with ISO 9000 quality standards.

    Setting up the switching pattern for the 948i is a snap. The standard GPIB interface port allows the system controller to download, verify and activate any desired switching profile you can dream up. Or if you prefer, an optional RS232 interface is also available. And if programming code is not your ideal way of spending the day, Vitrek QuickTest graphical software can get you up and running in no time at all. For those who are looking for a stand alone system the 948i can be controlled directly by the Vitrek 944i in a PC free environment. So, no matter how you like it - Vitrek puts you in control of your automated high voltage test requirement.

    The below is a schematic representation of two 8 channel scanning modules. One is connected to the high voltage output of the tester and the other to the return sense. This configuration provides bi-polar test capability for the 8 test points. Additional cards and units can be added for greater capacity.
